METC

Have just returned from the METC conference and all I can say is WOW!!! I had the privilege of attending not one, but two presentations by Lee Crockett. I think I have a much better grasp of 21st Century Fluencies and perhaps will expound on them in a few days.

I have added some cool new tools to my assortment of tech tools and can't wait to use and share them.  I am presenting a workshop - Web 2.0 for the Elementary Art Room at MAEA Spring Conference in a couple of weeks.

My after school tech group The Digital Penguins is buzzing right along. We're having fun with StoryBird right now.  The kids tell me that it's the best after school group ever, I feel the same!

Perception of Self

My latest homework project asignment.  Photoshop and I have come a long way!

Apologies

Sorry dear followers, my posts of recent have been few and far between. I've started another online class. This time I'm learning about Visual Literacy. I think I'll try to post some of my work here, I wish the class communicated via blog. Blackboard, the school's platform for online learning, seems clunky after my experiences with blogger!

My student group is up and running. Am still in the process of gathering all of the permission slips to post student work. The kiddos are super excited and their classmates are jealous that they were not invited to participate. I too, am excited, for once, about an afterschool group and have been logging lots of hours trying to develop that blog. Check it out; we hope to establish some global connections!http://partridgeart.edublogs.org/

Introducing the Digital Penguins!

After much struggle with Edublog, the only blog my district will permit me to use, I finally have created a blog to use with an afterschool group. Check it out:

I'm a little nervous about administering the blog, not so much the blogging part, but more because the edublog format is so different than what I am used to.
