VTS II Final Class

VTS II met Saturday for the last time to present our final unit plans. The hard work of my classmates will have me sailing into the 2012-13 school year with a whole new bag of goodies. We also had the opportunity to VTS a piece of contemporary art at the Daum Museum. I selected this courtyard installation,"United Forest" by Carol Fleming.Whew! What a fun challenge to VTS with your peers.

I can't wait to visit the museum again, and I'm sad that there's no VTS III.

    1. I had so looked forward to meeting you face-to-face Amy! The end of the school year is always a challenge though. I throughly enjoyed your blog and comments this semester. Hopefully our paths will cross one day in the not so distant future and we can have those conversations. Have you thought about going to Dallas for NAEA next year? :-)

  2. You did an amazing job VTSing this wonderful piece at the Daum! Maybe we can do a VTS afternoon there while you all are in town this summer?

    1. Thanks for the compliment Mary. It didn't exactly feel amazing, but I loved it never-the-less and like I said, I'd select the same piece all over again. Those quirky columns were calling my name!

Driving home I had some awesome inspiration for my next clay piece. I can't wait to get the school year over so I can get into the studio.

My vote is YES, a resounding YES! If I can tear myself away from homework this summer I would so enjoy another afternoon at the Daum!!!
