Feel like being a Copycat?
Browsing through http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2010/03/26/design-makeovers-of-the-mundane/ , (thank-you Kathy and Amber!) and discovered the work of designer Cardon Webb. Webb brilliantly transforms street flyers and tear-offs into street art. http://www.cardoncopy.com/
Dear summer friends and classmates,
In the spirit of Stealing Like an Artist, (MORE thanks to Kathy and Amber), could I interest you in some cardon copycatting?

VTS II Final Class
VTS II met Saturday for the last time to present our final unit plans. The hard work of my classmates will have me sailing into the 2012-13 school year with a whole new bag of goodies. We also had the opportunity to VTS a piece of contemporary art at the Daum Museum. I selected this courtyard installation,"United Forest" by Carol Fleming.Whew! What a fun challenge to VTS with your peers.
I can't wait to visit the museum again, and I'm sad that there's no VTS III.

Typography in 7 Minutes: A PBS Micro-Documentary
"Words have meaning and type has spirit, and the combination is spectacular.” ~ Paula Scher
This video will definitely be a part of the blended literacy curriculum the library media specialist and I are planning for next school year.
